Dazed and Confused – Jake Holmes (1967) 49:02

Released in 1990, this album is an interesting compilation of songs that Jimmy Page worked on mostly as a session guitarist from 1963 to 1967. Page didn’t play on Jake Holmes’ “Dazed and Confused”, but the song was reworked by Page and The Yardbirds, and later with Led Zeppelin. I suppose the song was added to this compilation to show the “inspiration” behind the Yardbirds/Zeppelin classic. I can’t vouch for whether or not Page played on every one of these songs, but I have reason to believe he did (except Holmes’ “Dazed and Confused”, of course). Page played on a ton of sessions back in the 60s and it’s even difficult for him to remember what he did and did not play on.
