Is quite funny to know that Canada was pretty early on the house front as Chicago house was moving on. We had Ron Allen & Andre Hayden with Strobe Records, 83 West Records that took the soulful side. Then we have DJ Sneak and last but not least, Nick Holder's DNH Recordings. All of these people and labels started around 1990 and did their own thing and all of them have gained legend status long ago, and it all happened in Toronto.
This is Nick Holder track from Toronto Track Company EP from 1999. Holder has eluded me for a while but i have recently caught up to him and DNH Recordings which is turning 20 years next year. In this label i instantly found love with a enormous quantity of quality house. And Nick, a producer with stong influences from 60's & 70's black music, is still going strong and seems to never sell out. These Canadians never pushes over. Sneak, Nick, Ron & Andre are all doing their thing they did back then.
