About This Release:

Joe \"Jody\" Parsley, born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, is a little known name in the world of soul and funk 45s. He recorded his sole 45rpm single Soul streak b/w Hooked at the famous Mus-I-Col studios in Columbus, Ohio in 1974. He called the band Jody & the Individuals, simply because the musicians on the session were not a real band but friends of him. Parsley was always writing songs and playing music together with friends down in his basement. Actually, many of Springfield's top musicians met at his place to jam and to have a good time. Shortly after the Mus-I-Col session, Parsley recorded another handful of songs which he never released. This is me and I don't know are two of them. Some people might be surprised to see them released on Tramp. For us it is certainly no surprise, we simply love good music and that's the reason why we put out these beautiful songs.
