Opening the album with Ten Times the dirty repetitive guitar riff soaks through your consciousness shaping the atmosphere of the song, lyrical Ten Times snarls and sneers its way through the song, if the band ever dedicated to this to anyone, it would surely shrivel them.
The second tune Timmy on this seven track album, again opens with a unique guitar intro that opens the door for another explosion of lyrical sneering and attitude. Merrick play a powerful alternative blend of rock and metal while lyrically and vocally the band have the rocks to lift themselves above the ordinary. the third track is the album title track of Just Chromosome, a more staid seven minutes of alternative rock compared to the first two tracks, while the length of the song allows the band to project an almost prog metal distraction.
The album twists and turns but remains steadfastly heavy as ****k while Marcus seems to find the best delivery for the lyrics that make each and every song unique. I must say that the first two tunes are exceptional and it would be difficult to better them, so the band
don't try to, they put out five tunes that are different and show that they can write a decent varied selection of tunes, in the credits all band members have contributed to the songs which bods well for the future.
