Longtime Friends José “Oz” and George “Skullshredder”, both Guitars, and Singer André met a sunny Afternoon in 2013. All three just after Call it a Day with their previous Band, went on to form finally a band which should reflect the musical preferences of each every one of them, focused heavily on the NWOBHM and Thrash.
Shortly after, with Reto Hunn, a drummer was found and the band started to write their first songs with input of every single member .Therefore defining the unique Piranha Sound followed by their first Live appearance the same Year at the “Open Stage” Event at Met Bar in Lenzburg, Switzerland.
2015 the band recorded their first 4 Track EP which is available on Reverbnation.
Afterwards the Band played their first successful shows as Support for Ektomorf and Odd Crew, sharing Stage with Shredhead, Hot Beaver and Swiss Thrashers Hellvetica
2016 Piranha also played a sold out show as support for THE IRON MAIDENS (USA) at the Schür, Luzern, Switzerland.
The same Year Piranha was asked to play at Swiss “Chaos Ritual” Festival together with UK’s Death Metal Legends CANCER, Italian Doomsters Abysmal Grief, Sweden’s Gehenna, Swiss Death Commando Deathcult and Switzerland’s Newbies Matterhorn. Afterwards several Shows within Switzerland followed
The Band entered the Crypt Studios, Zürich, in January 2019 to finally record their long awaited Debut, which will be released through Non Stop Music Switzerland, September 6, 2019!

Meanwhile Piranha was invited to play their first Show outside Switzerland at the FULLMETAL OSTHESSEN FESTIVAL in Germany!
And Last but not Least, in June 2019, Dave C.”Thunderbird“ Gugelot (ex-Killer, ex-Shogun, ex-Chinatown, ex-Gaskin, Ravenheart )on Bass, joined to finally complete the Band’s Line-up.
