Notes from Daniel about this arrangement:
In 65,000,000 B.C., if the history of Chrono Trigger is to be believed, the Tyranno Lair serves as the base of operations for the physically and technologically superior Reptite race, their psychic leader Azala, and her muscular triceratops bodyguard Nizbel. The Tyranno Lair appears as an ornate, somewhat modern castle, outfitted with a black stone floor, trapdoors, switches that unlock doors, and even invisible teleporters (although it remains to be seen if the torchlit hallways are merely an aesthetic decision or a necessity due to lack of electricity). Although Crono's intrepid party initially arrived in the prehistoric era due to an accident, after seeing the destruction the Reptites caused unto the primitive human \"ape\" race, the group travels to the Tyranno Lair to intervene.
Unlike most of the Chrono Trigger soundtrack, the Tyranno Lair theme is composed by Nobuo Uematsu, and it conveys a wholly sinister vibe despite a somewhat anachronistic hard rock style. Additionally, the Tyranno Lair theme begins with an organ prelude, in a manner that I liken to the real-world Ozzy Osbourne song \"Mr. Crowley\" (heck, \"Ozzie\" is even the name of a minor antagonist in-game). Yet, just as the organ serves as a prelude for the rest of the Tyranno Lair track, so too is the entire track a prelude for the most epic fight most \"apes\" would never see, a climactic battle to save humankind from extinction long before humankind ever knew it was in any danger, the fight against Azala and the Black Tyranno. Had the party failed... who knows, maybe we'd all be Reptites now.
