German metal band, founded under the name Victory in Bremen in the early 80's. They changed their name to Invader when they learned that there was already a German band under the same name. Invader released their first demo, March For Victory, in 1985, signed to local label Bonebreaker, and released this single Children Of War album in 1986. The album starts with a great riff intro, which grows into the speed track The Thing and at the same time, once Peter Bekush starts singing, you are hooked. You understand that you never get tired of such metal. Real 80s metal sounding like traditional metal without keyboards, alternative rock, female vocalists, grunge heavy, media hyped melodies or whatever would suit today's audience.
