Avelina is a unique Neofolk band from Macedonia started as a solo project by Sara Alexandrovska (vocal and tambura). Shortly after the idea was born, Sara met Voislav Pehchevski (playing Djembe) and their mutual love for music has become a spark that ignited a great friendship and lead to the formation of the band.



Exploring the roots of Macedonian folklore in search of musical inspiration and connection between modern music trends and traditional folk motives, together they reveal a multitude of surprising similarities and differences that emphasize the uniqueness of Macedonian folklore. This is exactly what you will find in the songs of AVELINA, a band trying to blur borders and build bridges that will connect tradition and modern life.



Joining the accompanying vocals Dajana Stojadinovska and Aleksandar Dimov resulted in the creation of an opus of traditional sounds and variations of magical melodies. With this, the Avelina project finally gets its final composition.



The performances of Avelina are diverse, with concerts as well as interactive music meditation where the audience is invited to join the mantra singing experience along with the band.
