End of Man (PHILIPPINES) - Power, Corruption and Lies (Full Album 2008)

Playing Next: OBUKHOVAUDIO - State Of Thunder 2008 (Full Album)

End of Man is a thrash Metal band from Marikina City, Philippines

Everything started October 2002, when John and Yam talked about forming a band together again. Yam asked what type of music would the band be playing, and John said, \"siyempre Metal!\" There were talks of reviving Mass Carnage, or should they just form an entirely new band. (if you're wondering what caused the decline of Mass Carnage, John would say it was Yam who caused the dark years!)

They both decided that it would be best to leave Mass Carnage as part of metal history in the Philippines. The next problem would be the members. For the other guitarist, it would be JC Paterno of Mighty Man and Yuk who also played guitar with Mass Carnage. For bass it would be bad ass bassist Aries Victorino of Seven Stitches, and John's bandmate in Goo. Last and biggest hurdle would be finding a Metal vocalist. (quite rare to find nowadays!) Well, fate came knocking at our doors. A few weeks back, Yam got a call from one of his heroes, Joey de Guzman of Discant X fame.

Everybody knows Discant X as the first speed metal band in the Philippines. (these guys spawned the entire Metal scene in this country.) Joey was looking for a guitarist for his other band and they were having initial meetings for the project. John and Yam saw the opportunity, and asked Joey if he would be interested in joining the new metal band they were forming. Joey asked what music they would be playing and said yes after finding out it would be Metal! ( thank God he agreed.) So the five hooked up and discussed what songs would they jam first. They covered classic metal songs like EX-TC by Death Angel, Protest and Survive by Discharge, Indians by Anthrax, Chromatic Death by S.O.D. and Raining Blood by Slayer.

Everybody was excited during the first jam since the speed metal rush was flowing through their veins once again! They also covered the classic Discant X song, Depression and Suicide (one of the best speed metal songs ever written). After a few more practices and gigs, END OF MAN started writing and have come up with three brand new songs as of March 2003, Discord, The Scourge and Pit of Death.
