Boom One Records is proud to present the inaugural release in our \"Steppers International\" series. The \"Steppers International Vol. 1\" compilation features roots and digital steppers reggae from producers in the UK, Germany, Mexico, USA, France, Hungary, Ireland, and Finland.

As long time fans of the Roots Reggae Steppers rhythms and the UK Steppers style production it is fitting that we finally curated a Steppers compilation. The Steppers style dates back to the late 70s/early 80s with reggae musicians, producers, and songs like Pablo Gad's \"Hard Times,\" Twinkle Brothers \"Rasta Pon Top,\" Aswad \"Not Guilty,\" as well as a wealth of releases from On-U Sound. Characterized by a \"four on the floor\" pounding kick drum, deep bass, and psychedelic dub techniques the Steppers style was brought into popularity with producers and musicians such as Jah Skaka, Alpha and Omega, Zion Train, Iration Steppas, and Bush Chemists.

In addition to several producers already on the Boom One Records roster, we reached out to newer producers whose music had caught our attention. We set out to find the hardest hitting tracks from the freshest artists around the world and now we present to you \"Steppers International\" volume 1.
