Trixie and Rarity, on a drunken after-show bender, end up finding an ancient relic: a book of songs about something called \"CHRISTMAS\" where a foal was born and it was a big deal or something. They came to their own epiphany that night. They needed to put on one more show: whatever this was.
They decide to put on a \"Nativity Pageant\", as they found notes about something by that name being the thing to do with these songs, but they have absolutely no idea what any of this is about. So, being the creative geniuses they are, they just make things up to fill in their gaps of understanding. And so, the pageant forms...
