Luis Bondio's Classound Recordings welcomes Rogier & Stage Van H for the labels first release of 2015. The much loved production duo had an incredible 2014 which was highlighted by a remix of Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic’s Glow In The Dark’. Rogier and Stage have already made their mark on the new year with a brand new single on Just Movement accompanied by two excellent remixes from Namatjira and Michael A. The duos debut for Classound Recordings is entitled 'Vapourized' and it includes remixes from FunkState and Praveen Achary.

Rogier and Stage's most recent single 'Aura' (released last week on Just Movement) showcased a warm, driving and incredibly haunting vibe which sat nicely alongside their best ever work. On 'Vapourized' the duo opt for a similar yet slightly meaner approach which results in a large sounding production. It's galloping grooves are undeniably peak time but the dubby rhythms and panning electronics keep it trippy and cool. A great original from Rogier and Stage.

The first interpretation of 'Vapourized' is provided by FunkState who are returning to Classound Recordings for their second appearance. Emilio Reyna and Hugo Ortiz hail from Argentina and make up the FunkState production duo. They first came to my attention when their 'Dada' single was released on Classound in June of last year. The duos drummy grooves and fluid lines came at precisely the right time and they followed that up with an amazing single for Luke Porter's Temporum Music entitled 'Osmosis'. For their 'Vapourized' interpretation FunkState have gone much deeper and more atmospheric with spectacular results. The aquatic surroundings and prominent use of the vocal elements is quite captivating and creates an entirely different vibe compared to the original. This mix is otherworldly sounding, definitely one for the contemporary deep floors. Beautiful work from Funkstate.

The second and final interpretation of 'Vapourized' is provided by Praveen Achary who is making his first appearance on Classound Recordings. The Indian producer has quite a cool thing happening at the moment. Somewhere along the 2014 road Praveen revamped his sound dramatically and the result was a unique hybrid of genres that was quite minimalistic in approach yet extremely funky and a touch menacing. Can't say I've heard anything like it and his 'Kibou' single for Dopamine along with a remix for Cid Inc. & Lank really stood out as a result. For his 'Vapourized' interpretation Praveen has revamped the track into a much more contemporary sounding beast. A dark, spacious and undeniably groovy foundation immediately stands out and the accompanying drums and rhythms carry a wonderful shuffle. Like Praveen's previously mentioned 2014 triumphs it's the intricate details which really separate this track from most. The club potential is certainly evident regardless but the carefully used vocal gates and sweeping psychedelic textures keep your attention locked and make for a track that is not only great on the dance floor but quite captivating from a listening perspective as well. Brilliant work from Praveen and a killer release for Classound Recordings to kick the year off.
