\"BobaFlex is not just the skull stomping band formed in the summer of 1997 in Huntington, WV, nor is BobaFlex simply the title of their mind-bending debut album, BobaFlex is the BobaFlex sound. Coined by other artists and venues in the area, the rip-snarled BobaFlex sound has captivated east-coast audiences since they began touring regional clubs in the spring of 1998. The band developed this unique BobaFlex sound like an intoxicating cocktail, beginning with two parts “Rapcore”, one part hip-hop, a splash of punk rock, and a half gallon of Old Crow Wiskey thrown in for good measure. Armed with this commercially viable concoction, BobaFlex quickly conquered the local music scene. BobaFlex is currently back behind the bar mixing up their second album (10 tracks complete) and is on the road promoting their self-titled debut “BobaFlex,” (16 tracks released August 1999) through 6 Lower Records. This package of BobaFlex the band, BobaFlex the album, and BobaFlex the live show, has attracted current interest from such labels as Atlantic, Giant, Columbia, Maverick, and Roadrunner Records. From the minute you hear the thunderous bass lines on “Kill One” (song 1) till the final harmonious rap of “Don’t it feel Good?” song (16), you know its real, its fresh, it’s raw, and it’s all BobaFlex. Firing up the charts, BobaFlex has reached #3 on the MP3.com Alternative HipHop and Rapcore charts. This modest accomplishment has allowed BobaFlex to be selected as one of 20 bands in North America featured on the compilation album titled “Crossoverdose,” released in June 2000 (www.cataclysmic.com ). BobaFlex has had the honor of sharing a stage with such Major acts as Kid Rock, Shootyz Groove, Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, 2 Skinnee J’s, The Stepkings, Disturbed, Days of the New, Blink 182, SR-71, CrazyTown, Econoline Crush, Sponge, Clutch, Orange 9mm, Machine Head, Shades Apart, Double Drive, Sev, Primer 55, and Staind.\" -Rollingstone
