This is a very controversial album because in this final stage of her life, Billie Holiday wasn't on her best shape, and we can hear how shaky her voice was, and how she lost the upper range of her voice. And she was only in her 40's! :(
Even so, i love this album, because i think that she compensates the lack of technical prowess with lots of real emotion. And with the help of the beautiful musical arrangements of Ray Ellis, the result is this masterpiece that still lingers almost 60 years after the first release.
