This album, as the name suggests, is inspired by stories I have either run as a GM or played in as a PC from tabletop RPGs. You don't need to be a fan of roleplaying games to understand the music, but that's where the inspiration comes from. Each song is meant to evoke some mystical imagery and emotions, and tell a story in its own way. Some of them tell straightforward stories, where others only imply them. I hope you enjoy, and find yourself immersed in the music of these imagined worlds.
Bayden Woodland wrote the evocative, glorious lyrics for \"Slayers of the Rat King\". I wrote the lyrics for the other songs. I composed and performed all of the music.

A song about my sister's character the Silent Champion in my brother's rpg. She has a name, but I'll let it remain mysterious for now.

A man who's lost everything turns to a group of priests known as the Voltarens, worshipers of the storm and the chaos of life. When he leaves he will be a new man, now known only as Tempest. This song is about my brother's roleplaying character in the rpg I run.

What does a roguish fox do when she is framed for murder?

This is an original song I wrote from the perspective of my character in a long-running roleplaying game run by my brother. It reflects the loss of a loved one, and how deeply it hurt him.
18:17 - Spirits and Demons
This song tells of when a mortal hero comes face to face with an eldritch demon.
21:39 - Slayers of the Rat King
This song tells the tale of 5 heroes from a roleplaying game my dad was running. It's supposed to be a song from the world of the rpg, sung in taverns and such. The lyrics were written by Bayden Woodland, my brother (because his character is a bard) and it inspired me to write this song using his lyrics. I tried to write the song like an old bard song, in a style fitting for the lyrics.
25:40 - The Song of the Rising Sun
This song is about the Heralds of Light defeating the evil Frost Wizard, lifting his curse from the land, and rebuilding the world with hope in their hearts. Based on one of my earliest imaginary games, this story has always been special to me, and writing this song was a lot of fun.
