Oxes - Oxes (Monitor Records MON006) the debut album from cult Baltimore, MD math rock band Oxes. Seriously I don't understand how fucking under-appreciated these guys are. The trio used to stage pranks and funny antics as well as having of-the-fucking-wall bonkers live shows, they were known for their early uses of wireless guitars so they could more efficiently harass the audience. They also put out a fake Arab On Radar split and sued Old Navy. These guys fucking rule. And one more quick piece of trivia - the photography and art direction on this album was none other than Eric Wareheim! Which is actually how I think I heard of these guys anyway. Werid. Great record.
