Georg Enders (1898-1954 )born in Vienna, but one of the early Swedish jazz pioneers. He emigrated to Sweden in 1921 and started his career as cinema pianist in the small Swedish town Ludvika.
Especially his recordings for Orchesterola is held to be by high class among jazz lovers. So why not take a real hottie, Allihopa allihopa (Everybody , everybody) from January 1930 written by another Swedish jazz profile from that time Håkan von Eichwald (1908-1964) . If you just want the hottest part with the solos, start at 1:26 .
Many jazz lovers thinks that it's just Enders recordings for Orchesterola that is interesting, I don't agree completely, even if Enders more and more turned out be dance band musician. Some of his recording at Cameo and Teco and early ones at Sonora, some at HMV can be with high quality viewed also from the \"jazz horizon\" (high quality they have of course even if they don't always is jazz music). He also did some recordings for Swedish Ultraphon that are very rare, but I've only heard one or two of those so I can't really say for sure that they also includes hot selections, but I suppose so. Enders led his band at Berns restaurant from 1927 to 1938. Berns still works as a sort of show resturant. I should not forgot to mention that Enders also did a lot of composing and also was quite known in Germany during the early thirties.
This was recorded in Berlin January 1930 and according to information at The Swedish jazz discography ( http://www.visarkiv.se/jazzdisk_se.htm ) the same personnel as in December 1929 was playing with the add of Leon Liljequist trp , it was ;
\" Elis \"Plutten\" Redlig tp, Tony Mason as, Ernst \"Lingonmoset\" Eriksson ts, Heintz von Vultée vi, Bertil Forsberg p, Allan Hedberg bjo, Eric Ulke b, Sven Malmberg dr, Georg
Enders cond, Hilmer Borgeling vo. \" (By the way; I think there is more recording than what's registered at the jazz discography by Enders that can be counted as jazz, so by my meaning it's far away from complete, but it's depending, partly, how you define jazz )
You can find more information about Enders, Eichwald and Borgeling in my other videos by surching at the names and read my discriptons. (and if you watch them, please excuse me , in one of them I'm using a photo of Dajos Bela as Georg Enders but this mistake was done in some years ago, when my knowledge of German musicians still was very low, in fact they was not so different by view, sorry !!!)
