France continues to sink. New flooding in Beauvais due to thunderstorm.
A torrential thunderstorm parked on Beauvais between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. this Monday causing between 35 and 60 mm of rain locally. The floods also affected homes and public buildings. The Beauvais hospital in particular suffered significant flooding but without a power cut. The hospital’s crisis room is open.
3 pumping vehicles and an SDIS60 cradle are on site. A plane which was supposed to land at Beauvais was diverted to Lille airport due to the rainy episode, but the airport was not affected.
