Playing a full album cover was something I was planning on doing long before the pandemic. It now feels much easier to post it because of the undefinable ever-changing raised/lowered expectations of musicians in quarantine.
So, this is my cover of The Bad Seed's \"Push the Sky Away\" played in one take. I had an idea to do it live on youtube but I only have one way to record a somewhat good sound, and that prevents me from playing it real-time. I did some post production but, all in all, what you hear is one take (played on piano with a rhythm playing back from my phone on \"Wide lovely eyes\"). It was recorded with two microphones.
What you see is footage from my laptop that can record non-stop and my camera that I couldn't rely on having enough memory to record the whole thing. I tried switching the cameras in post so it wouldn't be as boring.
I might be omitting other reasons for posting this video but it's hopefully not something someone would mind.
I would love to hear your comments and ideas on how I could make a better recording if I decide to take on another album.
