Diminished X is one-man instrumental music project from Croatia founded by Petar Štefek in the year of 2012. It is a combination of multiple metal genres but mostly contains characteristics of melodic and symphonic metal since orchestrations are a big part of music. The project released its first full length album on 16th of December 2013 named \"For My Perfect Dream, Once True\".
Word from Petar Štefek:
\"I started playing the guitar at the age of 13 and I was always interested in writting my own music. In the start, my brother helped me with some basics on the guitar but from that point on, I'm self-taught. I was listening mostly to melodic death metal and genres similar to that and I also love classical music. With that as an influence, I started writting music from early days and as I progressed I decided to single out few songs that I liked the most and record them and ofcourse make an album of it. At that point I was very much into instrumental music and since I didn't had a fit vocalist, I decided it would be an instrumental project. In that moment I really didn't know what I'm getting into, haha. I got some gear and I recorded and arranged the album at home by
myself. After the whole album has been recorded, it was time for me to get into mixing and mastering. I have to say that actually, that was the hardest part of the whole process since I didn't know absolutely nothing about music production. So I studied and experimented with it and this
is the result that I can finaly give you.I am very satisfied with what I have achieved since I had quite bad conditions for work. I've done most of the album at the age of 16. I'm now 17 years old and this is my first project worthy of presenting it to the public. I hope you'll like it and enjoy it.
