Shogun - Shogun 1986 [Full Album]

Overall a strong album if you like this rare blend of music. Thereโ€™s proably 10 or less british bands that play it, but its similar to the weaker American attempts at commercial โ€˜metalโ€™ from this period. A memorable number is the sleazy โ€˜Tokyo Girlโ€™ which has a great hook in โ€œI need lovinโ€™ โ€“ you need love!โ€ โ€“ fun stuff very much approaching glam. This is a rare style that few will no exists, let along listen to. An obscure release that hinges more on melodic rock in the American vein, than on the Avenger style Presity NWOBHM that was coming out at the same time. Pretty good if youโ€™ve got time for melody.
