Don liked main stream music in his early days, but as he grew older in his teen years, he switch to folk music. He recorded his first album in 1969, but it took 72 tries before a record label would produce it. It had mild success. His second album produced 2 hits. Vincent and this mega-hit. Although the original was over 8 mins. it still received air time before some stations shortened it.
