Hammer is the self-titled second album from Jan Hammer's new group, Hammer, released in 1979, one year after the debut album of Hammer, Black Sheep. This album features once again Colin Hodgkinson on vocals, along with Glen Burtnick joining the band as lead vocalist and Greg Carter replaces Tony Smith on drums. Also included is the first version of Hammer's Miami Vice hit \"Forever Tonight\", 8 years before it appeared in the show in the series' 4th Season in 1987. This album, like Black Sheep, features a cover song, this time, being \"Oh, Pretty Woman\", originally by Roy Orbison.
