Mythical Human Vessel is a trilogy of records written and performed by the songwriter and guitarist Paul Masvidal.
Each song on MHV uses 'Isochronic Tones' designed by Dr. Stephane Pigeon, creator of the Brian Eno-celebrated website MyNoise. The tones are a groundbreaking type of sound therapy for increasing serotonin, alleviating depression and stress, improving focus, and aiding in restful sleep. \"Mythical Human Vessel\" is intended as “an inherently relaxing listening experience, and adding the tones multiplied the benefits,” Masvidal says.

Lyrics:
END OF DAYS
If tomorrow comes
I want to give and not receive
A single thing
I’ve now reached the end of my days
Cause I’ve lost the world that I chose
I chose to create
I’m still holding on to the tiniest things
While the bird is falling it still sings
La la la
Where will I go
Who will I be
Will I still dream
I’m stripped bare
And the wind keeps blowing
Bending the branches that I once reached
Maybe this time I’ll get it right
It won’t be long
Soon I’ll lose this fight for life
Without the weight, without the pain
I will dream
——
CACTUS
Black bones in me
Corroding everything
They're floating free
In my eyes
You say it's stealing my sight
Don't rescue me
I don't plan on getting out
I've lost the key
I need some rain
So I can soak it in
Just let it pour till my bones shake
And my eyes ache for something new
Hug me i'm the cactus
I'll bleed on you
Black as the bones within me
And I'll stain you too
Just like the others that share me
Just let it pour till my bones shake
And my eyes ache for something new
——
MOON SLIDES
Say goodbye onto brighter thoughts
I won't hang out and wait for discomfort
I've made friends with a burning clock
It's mine to care, mine to recover
It's time to share what life buried under
And I swear the moon slides down the stairs
Yes I swear the moon slides down the stairs
And it cares when you begin to care
I long to see you, I long to see you there
Make me wise, make me something else
If I can stop one heart from breaking
Change my eyes, show me life itself
Impeach my crown, it needs redesigning
Reveal my frown, it might be fighting me down
And I swear the moon slides down the stairs
Yes I swear the moon slides down the stairs
And it cares when you begin to care
I long to see you, I long to see you there
And I swear the moon slides down the stairs
Yes I swear the moon slides down the stairs
And you'll have a different view
Yes, you'll have a different view
Yes, you have a different view
——
COULD IT BE YOU
Could it be you that sings
Ballads of sadder things
My heart denies, you told me lies
And you wore your angel wings
Could it be you that fears
Past times and wasted years
Echoes that shout, thoughts filled with doubt
Crying your sugar tears
At one time I was your circus cotton candy
And you were the taffy apple of my eye
But now all that’s left for us is sour brandy
To toast a slow hello and a quick goodbye
Could it be you I see
So independently
Remembering ways of regretting those days
Or could it be me
——
BANYAN TREE
Banyan, banyan tree
I wanna hold you, feel you breath
Banyan, banyan tree
I'm gonna climb to your branches out of reach
Day, day break me in two
Day, daybreak take me in you
Postcard, family tree
I'm gonna mail you out of reach
I won't hurry my heart
I'm gonna love you, love you anyhow
Day, day break me in two
Day, daybreak take me in you
Day take me in you
Day break me in two
