Written by Paul Jabara and P Shaffer. Produced by Paul Jabara.

The duo consisted of Izora Armstead and Martha Wash. After a stint as backup singers for Sylvester, they changed their name to the Weather Girls and released the single, “It’s Raining Men” in September, 1982; the disc rose to # on the Hot-100.
“Success” was the name of the resulting album, which featured the hit single and this Christmas song, “Dear Santa (Bring Me A Man This Christmas)”.
Paul Jabara was a recording artist in his own right. He sang “Trapped In A Stairway” in the 1978 film, “Thank God It’s Friday”. He also wrote “Last Dance”, which Donna Summer sang in the same film.
