Decca F-2252 - Recorded March 10, 1931 - Vocals The Three Ginx Backed By Roy Fox and his Band - British Dance Bands Jazz. \"Them There Eyes\" is a jazz song written by Maceo Pinkard, Doris Tauber, and William Tracey. It was published in 1930.
The Three Ginx were one of the most successful British vocal groups of the 1930s. They began their career as instrumentalists (Ivor Robinson, saxophonist; Jack Joy, pianist; Eric Hanley, drummer) and met while playing with the New Mayfair Orchestra. Later they joined Sidney Kyte's orchestra, where they were regularly featured as vocalists, with such success that in 1933 they decided to concentrate on singing full-time. They also appeared as backing vocalists on some of Al Bowlly's records, and can be seen in the closing scene of the 1934 British film Road House.
Roy Fox (b. October 25, 1901, Denver, Colorado, United States - d. March 20, 1982, London, England, UK) was an American dance bandleader whose period of greatest popularity came during his years performing in England during the British dance band era.
