Frank Zappa - Feeding The Monkies at Ma Maison (Full Album, VINYL RIP)
This is the vinyl rip for Frank Zappa - Feeding The Monkies at Ma Maison
Well, here's a little story. On my last trip to London with my brother, I was looking through the record store at the airport and just caught a glimpse of some artwork that I REALLY liked. And by that I mean I REALLY liked it and was wondering who would use something like this, and of course I chuckled when I realized it was indeed Zappa. I even considered paying the over-the-top airport price of 45 euros I believe? Just because it looked so good and it's hard to go wrong with Zappa. Anyways, I didn't get it so I just spent that money on other records in London. I kind of looked back on not getting it. Went through the same record store again in the airport on my most recent trip to Prague and it was still sitting there. Still decided not to take it because discogs has em' for like 10-15 bucks new? Lucky enough for me I was able to locate it in that huge record store in city center. The Orange vinyl was a very nice surprise! I knew it might come colored but was not sure. It's really beautiful.
For the music itself - it's very odd, but what can you expect. I liked it a lot when I listened to it the first time after not picking it up, at home. I knew I had to get it because it was something special. It's actually one of my favorite Zappa records now. It's made around Zappa's Synclavier which he paid quite a bit for. It comes with a paper insert about the inspiration and where it should come chronologically with his other Synclavier pieces. Note this was actually only released in 2010 I believe! It kind of sounds like something Henry Cow would do in with synthesizers if they were born 200 years prior. I find it gripping, others may find it annoying and cacophonic. Their loss!
Perfect for: Pondering, ordering, bordering
Format: LP (orange vinyl pressing). The vinyl issue is missing the 2 bonus tracks, Worms From Hell and Samba Funk.
