Transitional ?? The People Vs. Transitional (1999 Sound On Sound ?? SND3) the first and only full-length album I can find credited to Transitional, a defunct(?) post-punk group from Seattle, WA. This album is a fuckin' hidden gem if ever there was one. A mostly unknown cast of musicians with the exception of drummers Hannah Billie (only track 2) and Brian Tamborello (Embassy, Incurable Complaint, Ochre, Psychic Ills, Strictly Ballroom) this album is somehow before it's time and ahead of it's time. Everything about their sound is perfect, almost tailored to my musical tastes. Vocalist/synthesizer player Erin Claire has one of those voices you think you've heard before but you haven't. Her vocals are the perfect complement to everything going on musically. Love this album. It may be 20 years old and forgotten but if there's one album you hear this year, make it this one.
