Got around to hearing this gem of an album by Emancipator who has gone from strength to strength with a number of albums that have done well. He exploits the fine lines between trip hop( and electronica to produce his own niche of melodic ethereal tunes and this album is one of his best in my opinion. His atmospheric enveloping sounds with violins and beats culminate in a classic album that delights the listener completely.
In his own words, \"\"Safe In The Steep Cliffs\" represents the tightest, most unique, most organic beats I've made in the last three years.
This album has a new palette of sounds and samples from around the world, including more original recordings (guitar, violin, mandolin, banjo) and new guest artists including Japanese jazz musician Uyama Hiroto.
