Not much is known about CCC CNC NCN other than that they're a radical experimental / avant-garde collective, with anonymous members, that arose from the anarchic/antagonistic underground in Torino, Italy after the dissolution of a previous band called Kollettivo from the El Paso hardcore scene. Their music deals with themes of anarchism, suicide and freedom, hatred against oppression, and opposition to the \"New World Order\" as cultural provocation.
This release, a compilation of the LP \"Suicidio modo d'uso\" (Atto primo, Atto secondo) and bonus tracks that compose \"Proclami\", evokes some similarities with the dadaistic aesthetics and stylings of industrial acts like Einstürzende Neubauten and Laibach, fusing it with tribal rhythms, vocal samples, droning textural explorations, and the combination post-punk, noise rock, and no wave flair associated with the likes of early Swans and Bodychoke through distorted, dissonant, swelling strings and guitars and patiently pulsating drumbeats. Their punk spirit, rooted in their hardcore origins, manifests itself in the growling vocals, its provocative nature, and its anarchistic ethos.
