Dieter Bohlen. Almost certainly the most successful German musician of all-time. Although he had written and produced many songs by then, his breakthrough came in 1985 when Modern Talking's \"You're My Heart, You're My Soul\" became a huge hit throughout Europe β the beginning of an unbelievable success story.
However, this 2012 Best Of contains Dieter's pre-Modern Talking output as a performer. The first two Monza singles from 1978 are hard to come by these days, whilst the Steve Benson, Sunday and Ryan Simmons singles are not quite as difficult to get hold of. You still need a bit of luck, though, to find a copy in decent condition (at least outside of Discogs).
The two Ryan Simmons singles, \"Lucky Guy\" and \"The Night Is Yours, the Night Is Mine\" were also included on the first Modern Talking album, using the exact same instrumental playback but with Thomas Anders on vocals.
For any Dieter Bohlen fan, this Best Of is a must-haveβhowever, the CD has already become something of a collector's piece.
