Zoetrope is a Chicago, Illinois heavy metal band formed in 1976 when the members were teenagers. The band played in a style of speed metal bordering on thrash, which they called \"street metal\". In the mid-1980s the band also played frequently with many local hardcore bands in addition to metal bands, supporting bands like Motorhead, Slayer. The band released another album and then disbanded in the early 1990s.
