Gennett master X 0416, rec. New York, January 3 1927.
Four unknown singers with piano accompaniment.
As with several other groups, there is the strong possibility that this actually is an alias of a better known group but if so, who could it be?. There are only five titles known by this group, and all were published on the cheaper Gennett labels, where the use of pseudonyms was the rule rather than an exception. \"The Jolly Bakers\" is the name most frequently used, although the recordings also were published as by \"The Singing Hoosier Quartet\" and \"The Cardinal Quartet\". Lets hope some information will turn up, as these guys are actually quite good!
