Vaudevillian, freak folk, showtuney romp. Pure magic and mystery in this Nillson esk lost treasure. In 1968 some magic things were happening in music and thought, visions were coming into a new light if you know what I mean. Some people took it in a cheesy direction and others found perfection. Leonard was 18 when he put this out and Robert Rafkin the producer deserves some big time credit for helping to make this uncanny record, Van Dyke Parks would approve as would Johnny Pate, strings and all. This is one talented young man and group of musicians. Dan Hicks is playing harmonica on here along with some other San Fransisco psych hippie players. If anyone has any information on Leonard or this album please let me know. Hot of the wax for you!!! Enjoy!
