Yes I included Ballad of the Windfish, and yes we are hype for the Link's Awakening Remake.
After the insanely nice reception to Sweet Victory, I've been pushing to do more FX-heavy or acting-friendly videos and this was just the perfect opportunity. When the remake to my very first Zelda game was announced I shouted with joy and started binging that soundtrack all over again. I remember playing through the first 10% of the game over and over after buying the GameBoy and eventually I made it through most of the game during my first job's lunch breaks. Fast forward over 30 hours of planning tunes with my buddy Colby and creating some wild shot ideas.. we have a proud and loud Zelda medley.
Once I knew I wanted to get as close to the feelings of the original, I figured we'll need to recreate 3 major areas in the video. I built a cardboard \"boat\" and used Unity3D to create the shipwreck scene! I splashed my face a ton, used a fan, and ran through tutorials all weekend to get the rainy look digitally! Colby and I filled the middle section with our favorite Overworld tunes and then that awesome boss/cave mashup that really let us run wild with riffs. I was almost going to scrap Ballad but I knew I'd regret it, so we decided to end it there! I actually wrote that riff for \"Hyrule Castle\" from Breath of the Wild but it never happened so here it is! I hope all these wacky video styles and collaborations make this channel special, our medley fun, and maybe bring out that old Link's Awakening again.
