Starting in 1966, Thurso band The Coasters became a very popular group throughout the north of Scotland. In 1974 they released their one and only album of country songs. Yo this day there are many with fond memories of enjoying the performances of the Coasters at functions and events including supporting country music star Gerry Ford and appearing on the TV talent show, New Faces in 1975.
