NIMETU - \"Abri\" (2016) This is a special minimalist recording of solo flute music inspired by\"Spirit Flute Journeys\" live performances, plus a track of \"magic\" kalimba \"invocation\" and a bonus live track.

If you enjoy the music you can support this work and buy the full album in CD quality here:

The approach to recording this album was to let go of (pre)conceptions about music and simply dig deep into the subconscious to create the atmosphere of tranquillity, freedom and distance from the daily \"drama\".

The cover art presents a photo of a special abri (rock-shelter) in Sočerga, Slovenija. A real place I visited at the moments of contemplation, change... to reset, to be free!

Abris have been used as shelters and sacred places by humans from the beginning of time - you can find Prehistoric paintings and Aboriginal art on the walls of some.

Sitting inside the edge of a mountain, embraced by Earth and watching the wide view over the valley, protected and \"in the world\" at the same time.

Feeling grounded and connected to the Endlessness in all directions... that is the aim of this album.

Burn some incense or herbs, press play and enjoy the journey!
