Thinking back through several decades of our lives, it’s not unusual for us sometimes to recall only the one dominant version of a particular hit song,...the huge “Mr. Sandman” hit by the Chordettes, for example. But though the other also-ran versions of the song might normally have faded from memory, The Four Aces top-10 cover of “Mr. Sandman” received an unexpected revival of sorts in 1985 with its inclusion at a critical plot point in the blockbuster movie “Back To The Future” (also reprised in “BTTF 2”) and continues to be heard every time someone watches the film on his/her DVD or Blu-ray.
