J J Cale - Troubadour (Full Album)[1976]

A masterpiece by JJ Cale. He's an artist who has been a huge inspiration to me. He's definitely one musician who is criminally underrated from back in the day. A class act and someone who like Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton is a guitarist who's riffs you can hear all day long.

Album Desc: This magnificent work of art is my favourite album by JJ Cale. All of J.J. Cale’s albums involve tales of life and love, but Troubadour really is solely about livin' life and lovin' on the road. It's a smoke-filled, addictive, strutting record - perfectly titled - with absolutely no filler. \"Naturally\" was Cale's debut, \"Really\" was his bluegrass record, \"Okie\" was the 'lyrical' album, but - Troubadour is his guitar album. Every track here seems to have more bite than any of his previous recordings, with more guitar soloing and lots of expert filling. The riffs are crafted to perfection and hit the right spot. Also, rather surprisingly, not many people know that Cocaine was originally JJ Cale's song off this album that Clapton covered. All in all, a proper classic that deserves recognition and repeated plays! Buy this one because it's an absolute classic!
