Terrea Lea — Conversations with the Heart (1960s Folk) FULL ALBUM
Best Track: Acre of Man (20:09)
Very rare and often stunningly beautiful late 60s folk outing out of West Hollywood. Lea was apparently one of the local scene's lodestars, a tireless supporter and maker of music whose Garret Coffee Shop was beloved, and whose vocals and arrangements here are quite a few notches above average, especially on tracks like \"Acre of Man\" and the somber, pensive closer, \"Try to Remember.\" At risk of discounting Lea's thoroughly enjoyable performance, however, the record's real draw is the presence of Van Dyke Parks. (P.S. Please excuse the distortion to the sound, especially on the first track. This was a junk bin find at the dump, and a thorough cleaning only gets you so far with a true-blue beater like this copy.)
