“i know hell” is the debut album of Poland-based producer and singer-songwriter Laura Stypuła releasing music under the moniker dreaming plushie and as ½ of a duet phoebes :: inclusions.
A dark ambient diary full of pain, fear, sorrow, loneliness and sadness. Of turmoil and depression which have affected dreaming plushie’s life in the past months. For the last few months of the year 2020 were extremely difficult for her.
And so the title was conceived: she knows hell, she has been there. Despite all the negativity, there is a glimmer of hope. It is also an account of self-discovery, re-defining oneself, a story of human being seeking validation, fighting inner demons and learning to accept oneself and love oneself in hard times.
The album is dedicated to the memory of SOPHIE, whose music was, is, and will be (though it may not be heard when listening to the majority of the songs) one of biggest inspirations for dreaming plushie.
