The album: Antidote

Antidote is a 4 tracks EP release by Yellow Belly and Roberto Sass in the trip-hop and light dub genre with influences from the 90’s Bristol Sound Machine. Characteristics of the album is its instrumental and electronic basses tweaked and tainted with distortions, gentle modulated guitar responses, lounge organs accompanied by cinematic stings. Lyrics for the album written and performed by Yellow Belly, delivers thoughtful and emotional messages about complicated and broken relationships and lost love, logical and illogical choices of actions that we sometimes make in life that might cost ourselves dearly but are necessary to move on in life.



At parts, the album is gently melancholically soothing, closing in on the cinematic genre while at parts the dubby, snappy basses and tricky percussions brings the listener on the edgy side.
