The album name comes from The Worlds End movie which is one of my favorite movies of all time. The isn't really any story to it other than that, i just thought it was funny and random so i went with it.

SQUARE ONE
This song is pretty much the exact same as ‘Presage’ except I layered live instruments together to make this rather than run it through my pedal board. The name basically means the start of the album.
MANTRA
This is one of the more recent songs that I wrote, along with ‘Dark Energy’. The main verse groove is from an old demo I made a few years ago on a 7 string. The main riff sounds very much like an architects kinda riff which I didn’t realise when I wrote it, its still one of the best riffs I’ve wrote though. I chose the name Mantra through realising that when I was recording the guitars for the B section, I found myself nodding off into a dream like state. The song is straight forward in its groove which is like a meditation.
HATE
\"This is the oldest song on this album which I wrote 4 years ago in 2015. The original had a main riff which was basically a rip off of \"The Bad Thing\" by Periphery. (I didn't know the band at that time, I only heard the riff played by Misha and just thought it was a random riff) so I had to change that but the verse, chorus and bridge section are all as they were. It was heavily inspired by a friend's band who did metal covers of pop songs. The original tuning was drop A# but after messing around playing Totla Mad by Periphery, I wrote the main riff and realised I could play the rest of the song in the tuning of totla mad which is A#, G, C, F, A, D\"
PRESAGE
I created this song in about ten minutes after have no ideas for an interlude to break up the intensity from the previous song. I took the layered pianos and sounds from the verse of ‘Dark Energy’, ran them through my pedal board and then pitch shifted them down to Bb from C. The name basically means ‘Interlude’, but sounds more intelligent.
SHIT SPLITTER
Believe it or not, I wrote this song at 8am on a Sunday morning. Inspired by Haunted Shores ‘Blast Inc.’. I don’t even like thrash metal, but I wrote this as a bit of a meme. Due to the space I have available, I’m not able to record drums at home. This means I programmed the drums for this album, but I always try to make sure that I myself can physically play every song I write. That theory went out of the water with this one.
PARALLAX
Probably my favourite song from this album. The main riff was derived from a Sikth song called ‘No Wishbones’. Anyone that knows me, knows that I hate guitar solos that just shred meaningless and self-centred bollocks. I was just jamming on a crunch tone I had made with my jazzmaster and I just heard a solo pop in my head. I hit record and that was it, first time it was right. I just had to go back and re learn it to play it perfectly. There isn’t really a meaning behind the name, its just a cool word to do with space and planets n that.
DARK ENERGY
When I bought my jazzmaszter, I got home and starting jamming song riffs which became this song. Heavily influenced by bands such as Toska, Dorje and Tesseract. This song is where all the interludes make sense as they are all created from the verse melody of this song. It kind of acts like a concept which thematic links which I get from the film music that I write.
FORGET IT ALL
This is another old song that I wrote with a good friend, Tim Hinds. It was also meant to be on another EP alongside Hate which never happened. I think this song is a good pallet cleanser for this album, its dirty, heavy, straight forward but also complex at times and just goes insane at the end.
The song is pretty much exactly the same as the original we wrote 3-4 years up until the drop out section with the clean guitars. The original had some very dissonant chords and a solo which built up into a reference to another track that was meant to be on the failed EP.
