Information (Last FM):

The Pulsars are a two-man band from Chicago, IL. They wrote and played some of the catchiest and most original music released in the 90's. While their name and style instantly labels them as part of the growing \"space rock\" movement, their music escapes categorization. In addition to a space rock feel, they incorporate rock, New Wave, jazz, and skilled vocals with an early 80's feel. The Pulsars pioneered the synth-pop revolution that would eventually occur years after they disbanded.

The band was formed by and consisted mainly of brothers Dave & Harry Trumfio. Dave's strong songwriting and a few surprising shows, including opening slots for Oasis and BLur, attracted immediate attention. After an intense bidding war they were signed to now defunct ALMO Sounds, (the same label as Garbage) headed by former A&M founders Jerry Moss and Herb Alpert.

ALMO Sounds went bankrupt and The Pulsars broke up to pursue other interests.
