It’s with pride and happiness that I share ‘Le Temple de Renca’ today, a song I produced specially for the new Buddha Bar Album mixed by my talented friend Armen Miran.
Buddha Bar played a huge role in my musical journey as it developed my curiosity for the beautiful cultural & musical spectrum it covers. It’s an honour to have one of my songs on a Buddha Bar album and I want to thank Armen for offering me a place on this CD.
I recently had an inspiring discussion with a visual artist from Turkey, Mercan Dede, who shared with me an eye-opening perspective on creativity and art: the importance of telling a story and giving a meaning to projects.
Sometimes, I spend countless weeks or months trying to complete ideas.
Sometimes, I stop working on projects because they don’t inspire me anymore.
Sometimes, the process is magical and I can finalize a song in just a few days.
As I wrote ‘Le Temple de Renca’, I felt really inspired and the process was smooth and natural. Outside of a ‘club’ mindset, I approached this project more like a short story.
The title for the song also has a strong meaning to me and I will share more about this later…
