Voila! The Home-Fi Version of the Ancient Baby album.
For many of you, these recordings will be brand new: 13 songs, recorded to analog tape at my funky home studio. Think of it as the reckless sister to the Ancient Baby Hi-Fi album (produced by Ethan Turner and released on vinyl in 2019.) At one time, these were meant to be the only version of the Ancient Baby album. With the exception of some stellar performances by Cameron Snyder on acoustic bass, alto sax and a crazy zydeco triangle, I played all the instruments. Tomas del Toro-Diaz mixed the album in Bakersfield, bringing things to a new level.
Shout out to Rose Pearson for all the potent artwork she made around the Ancient Baby releases (including this horse), and to Parker Richard for his help with graphic design.
I hope this message finds you all well, and I hope the music is nourishing for you. I'll be releasing a new rock n' roll album later this year, and also re-releasing a few albums that have never seen the internet.
