Released on the heyday of \"Exotica\", this album is a force of nature: 5 Percussionists inmersed in a dark, mysterious voodoo frenzy for almost an hour. Theres some wind and brass instruments supporting the whole thing but melodies dont guide this music, they just brush this canvas with eerie, oriental themes as polyrhythmic pulsations follow through. Truly a conscious expanding piece of work. Some of the finest congueros are on this album, among them salsa master Ray Baretto.
