The Order is proud to present Les Grandes Compagnies in full – the new album from French medieval blackened folk group, Grylle.
The band is a two-piece led by Hyver Mor, of epic French medieval black metal Véhémence, whose Par le Sang Versé has been blowing listeners away this year.
Grylle's sonic tapestry shares much with Véhémence, but the dynamic is swapped for greater emphasis on the folk instruments and bass to create its raw melancholic hymns to ancient lords. No synths or guitars, only an exotic range of flutes, hand-drums and stringed instruments.
Digital and CD versions of the album (and T-Shirts) are available from the Antiq records bandcamp and website. Vinyl for this (and Véhémence) will be released some time this year.
