In my estimation, this is a perfect dark ambient album. Each track has a distinct mood, like a distant memory of a time better left forgotten, and the album as a whole feels coherent without forcing a narrative onto the listener. The way the samples build and harmonize with one another demonstrates the kind of patient genius that separates “great” ambient artists from “good” ones. If I ever become a rich man, I vow to fund a vinyl pressing of this album (along with a few other records.)
