This groovy tune has heaps of the funky factor, but, it failed to click with the public (or, with radio programmers), and it stopped just short of making the US Hot 100 charts.
Here in Australia, it was released in mid 1967 on an Atlantic 45, AK-1999.
The only place it charted was Perth, where it struggled to # 48.
The flipside was \"Talk To The Animals\", which scraped into the charts in Melbourne, reaching # 46.
The track was written by Gary Bonner and Alan Gordon, the team responsible for The Turtles' hit \"Happy Together\"...and, if you use your imagination a bit, you can hear similarities betweeen the structure of the two songs.
This upload is from the original mono 45.
It has some light surface noise, but the music is crisp & clear.
I have also uploaded the flipside to YouTube.
